We are pleased to announce that Lynne Vicars has joined the firm as Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer and Senior Counsel and will be based in the firm’s downtown Toronto office.

 

Lynne is a banker turned lawyer whose extensive experience in both business and complex litigation has fostered a passion for bringing technology to the legal profession.  Regarded as a leading eDiscovery lawyer in Canada, Lynne will help ensure Heuristica remains Canada’s leading eDiscovery law firm by employing the latest and most powerful eDiscovery technology and review methodologies.

In Lynne’s previous role as Senior Legal Counsel for a major Canadian bank, Lynne led its global eDiscovery activities.  She designed and implemented the bank’s internal eDiscovery capabilities and its worldwide eDiscovery strategy and provided advice on privacy law compliance, information governance and document production obligations.  Lynne was pivotal in the development of the bank’s records retention policies, email retention standards and litigation hold protocols.
