Kelly is Heuristica’s Chief Legal Data Intelligence Officer and Senior Counsel.
Kelly is an experienced litigator with unique expertise in electronic information matters, including eDiscovery, privacy and data breach issues. Kelly is known for her efficient, no-nonsense approach to problem solving, project management and dispute resolution.
Kelly was voted one of Canada's "Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers" by Canadian Lawyer Magazine in 2011, and has been recommended in the Who’s Who Legal every year since it began covering eDiscovery practitioners.
Kelly is a founding member of Legal Data Intelligence (www.legaldataintelligence.org) and an active member of the precedents subcommittee of the Digital Evidence and Electronic Discovery Working Group (www.digital-evidence.ca) which develops model documents to guide litigators and the judiciary in Canada. Kelly was Chair of the Steering Committee of Sedona Canada for many years. She also acted as an expert advisor to Standards Council of Canada, Canada's national body participating in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) network. In this capacity, Kelly negotiated and drafted international information security standards and is a co-editor of ISO/IEC 27050 Information technology - Security techniques - Electronic discovery, an international electronic discovery standard in four parts.
