As the global COVID-19 public health emergency continues to spread and create challenges for families and businesses around the world, we wanted to share with you how Heuristica Discovery Counsel LLP is addressing many of the same challenges that our clients are facing.

 

We take the health and safety of our staff and clients seriously; it is our first priority.  We are closely following Health Canada’s recommendations on enhanced cleaning and social distancing protocols and employing them in our offices.

 

With clients and staff across the country, we already have robust remote meeting capabilities in place.  Our technical support team is able to provide seamless support, fully remotely.  On Friday, March 13th we enacted a plan to enable our entire legal team to work remotely, when and if necessary, while continuously collaborating using Microsoft Teams, which we adopted in early 2019.

 

These measures will enable us to continue to provide you with the high level of service you have come to expect from us, while prioritizing the health and safety of our team and you, our clients.

 

We are fortunate to be a small, innovative, nimble law firm that can respond quickly to challenges.  We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you during this time of disruption and beyond.  We will of course immediately advise in the event our ability to serve any client is impacted due to employee illness.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all stay as healthy and productive as possible.
