We are pleased to welcome Shadab Khan and Geevith Rubakumar to the firm for a four month placement as part of the Ryerson Law Practice Program.
Shadab is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and holds a Master of Laws from the University of Leeds. For the past two and a half years, she has worked as a legal advisor and consultant in Norway on commercial, privacy and data protection matters. During this time, she managed the development and launch of a proprietary compliance management system, which was awarded several grants from Innovation Norge. Shadab also led a work placement program for skilled refugees, which won the National Diversity Award 2019.
Geevith holds an LL.B. from the University of East London and an LL.M. in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall. He has a strong interest in legal technology and is a recent winner of the Ryerson University Legal Innovation Zone Access to Justice Challenge, having developed an app, named ParDONE, which helps reduce the cost and complexity of the criminal record suspension process.
We are very pleased to have such innovative talent join the firm and look forward to having both Shadab and Geevith part of our team.
